My husband is my biggest supporter. He believes I am capable of creating most anything out of glass! So when he presented me with the radiator cover of a 1931 Model A with big ideas of me creating a Model A car out of glass - I was flattered, but a bit overwhelmed and definitely challenged! My skill set is nature scenes or geometrics - not automobiles! Needless to say, this project sat for a long time while I tried to wrap my head around how I was going to tackle this. But - challenge accepted and after a few trial sketches I had my design. Choosing glass that would complement the car was the next challenge, as well as figuring out how to deal with the chrome bumpers, headlights and cover. After many hours of work, I am pleased with the result.
